REPORT ON ORDINANCE No........... ...........of 192 8.
1.
I have examined the accompanying Ordinance intituled an
Ordinance to amend the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, 1927, and
I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not
contrary to the Governor's instructions.
2.
The object of this Ordinance is to enact the
legislation required to give effect in Hong Kong to the terms
of the International Convention signed at Geneva on the 19th
February, 1925.
3.
Reference to the memorandum which is annexed to this
report will show the action which has been taken on the
Convention.
4.
A set of regulations which has been made is also
annexed to this report. These regulations bring the Hong
Kong regulations into line with the latest English regulations.
